Founded in Sarasota, Florida and shaped by European musical tradition, the Mendelssohn Chamber Orchestra is a new ensemble under the direction of Roberto Castro. The orchestra brings together professional musicians commited to clarity, precision, and a chamber ideal of listening. Beginning in 2026, the MCO will explore repertoire from Bach to the present with a focus in transparency of sound, expressive discipline, and artistic integrity. The aim is simple: music made with intention, detail and respect for the score. The orchestra's purpose is to offer performances that are thoughtful, refined, and artistically honest.
